Search Engines

The best way to do a search for information on the internet is to use a search engine.  All of you have probably used Google; this is one of the major search engines that is used today.  Search engines, like Google, get their information by doing keyword searches on a database of websites and then present the ones that have the most matches with your search term or terms. 

Along with all the usual search engines like Google, Yahoo or Ask, there are also what are called academic search engines.  Academic search engines work just the same as the ones you are used to, but they are able to find more academic results.  These are great to use when conducting research for a paper or project since they will most likely have more accurate information than the other search engines will find.
